Instructions

    Heat oven to 400°F. Whisk milk and pudding mix for 2 minutes until thick, then let sit while you prep the pastry.

    Thaw puff pastry at room temperature for 5 minutes until pliable. Lay on parchment paper.

    Spread custard evenly over pastry, leaving a 1/2-inch border on all sides.

    Roll the pastry tightly from the long side into a log. Coil it into a spiral and place on a baking sheet.

  5. Step 5

    Brush with beaten egg, sprinkle pearl sugar on top, then bake for 12 minutes until golden and crispy.
