Step 1
Preheat oven to 375°F. Cook chopped bacon in a 10-inch skillet over medium heat until crispy, ~8 minutes.

Transfer bacon to a paper towel. Pour off all but 1 tbsp bacon fat from the skillet.

Add frozen hash browns directly to the skillet. Break up any clumps with a wooden spoon and stir until some pieces begin to brown, ~5 minutes.

Spread hash browns evenly in the skillet. Sprinkle cooked bacon and cheddar cheese over the top.

Whisk together eggs, salt, and pepper in a small bowl until combined.

Pour egg mixture evenly over the hash browns. Dot with 1 tbsp butter.
Step 7
Transfer skillet to oven. Bake until eggs set and the top is light golden, 8–10 minutes.
Step 8
Remove from oven and let rest 2 minutes. Serve directly from the skillet.
