Step 1
Heat a large skillet or shallow pot over medium-high. Add 1 tbsp neutral oil, then add onion and mushrooms; cook 3 minutes until softened.
Step 2
Pour in soy sauce, mirin, and 1/4 cup water. Bring to a simmer, then lay beef slices in a single layer without stirring.

After 2 minutes, add tofu cubes and stir gently to distribute. Cook 1 minute until tofu is warmed through.
