Step 1
Preheat oven to 350°F. Grease two 6-cavity donut pans with cooking spray.
Step 2
Whisk together flour, 0.5 cup sugar, baking powder, and salt in a large bowl.
Step 3
Whisk milk, eggs, and 3 tbsp melted butter in another bowl until smooth.
Step 4
Pour wet ingredients into dry ingredients. Stir until just combined—batter should be thick.
Step 5
Transfer batter to a piping bag. Pipe into donut cavities until three-quarters full.
Step 6
Bake for 8–10 minutes until a toothpick inserted into a donut comes out clean.
Step 7
Cool in pan for 5 minutes, then turn out onto a wire rack to cool completely.

Whisk powdered sugar, 2 tbsp melted butter, and 3 tbsp milk until smooth and pourable.
Step 9
Dip top of each cooled donut into glaze, letting excess drip off. Set on parchment.

Let glaze set for 5 minutes. Serve at room temperature.
