Step 1
Preheat oven to 475°F with a pizza stone or baking sheet inside. Roll out the 1 lb pizza dough on a floured surface to about 12 inches round.
Step 2
Transfer dough to a piece of parchment paper. Brush the surface with 1 tbsp olive oil, leaving a 1-inch border for the crust.
Step 3
Spread 0.5 cup tomato sauce evenly over the dough, stopping at the border. Sprinkle 0.5 tsp dried oregano over the sauce.
Step 4
Scatter 0.5 cup pitted black olives over the sauce, then top with 1.5 cups shredded mozzarella cheese, covering the olives.
Step 5
Slide the parchment with the pizza onto the hot stone or baking sheet. Bake until the crust is golden and the cheese is bubbly and browned in spots, about 12-15 minutes.
Step 6
Let the pizza cool for 2 minutes, then slice and serve hot.
