Step 1
Crumble the 2 cups cake into a large bowl, removing any hard edges. Add the 1/4 cup frosting and mix with your hands until the mixture holds together when pressed.
Step 2
Roll the mixture into 12 balls, about 1.5 inches each. Place them on a parchment-lined baking sheet and freeze for 30 minutes, until firm.
Step 3
Melt the 1.5 cups chocolate chips in a microwave in 30-second bursts, stirring between each, until smooth.
Step 4
Dip the tip of each lollipop stick into the melted chocolate, then insert it halfway into a cake ball. Repeat for all 12 balls.
Step 5
Dip each cake pop into the melted chocolate, coating completely. Gently tap off excess chocolate.
Step 6
Sprinkle the 2 tbsp sprinkles over the coated pops before the chocolate sets. Stand them upright in a styrofoam block or stick them into a cake to hold.
Step 7
Let the chocolate set at room temperature for about 15 minutes, until firm. Serve and enjoy.
